Meet Cougar, a shy, goofy, and playful little guy with one very special feature—his adorable short tail! Cougar’s tail is shorter than his legs, and we suspect his dad may have been a Scottish Fold. Whatever the reason, his little tail is just one of the many things that makes him uniquely cute.

Cougar is a cautious kitten who needs a little time to feel comfortable. His sister Panther helped him make the transition to his foster home, and although he was very cautious at first, he never felt the need to hide. He’s simply a bit skittish and takes his time getting used to new people, sounds, and situations.

Once Cougar knows you, you’ll start to see his sweet personality come out. He loves playing with wand toys and has a particularly adorable way of letting you know when it’s playtime—he’ll jump right onto your toes! He also enjoys cuddling and will come up to you when he’s ready for some affection.

Cougar can still be a little jumpy, especially with unexpected sounds or surprise pets, but he is making progress. He loves being near his people and will happily hang out in the same room, even if he’s simply sitting by the window watching the world go by.

Cougar would do best with a patient adopter who will give him the time and space he needs to build confidence. In return, you’ll get a sweet, playful little companion with a goofy personality, a love of cuddles, and the cutest little short tail.
