Antonia - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Calverton, Maryland

Antonia has never been shy about sharing her opinions. She was the loudest kitten from the very beginning, and she still announces mealtime with enthusiastic reminders that breakfast or dinner should arrive immediately. Between conversations, she enjoys loafing beside her people while they work on a laptop and happily recruits the older cats for grooming sessions whenever she gets the chance. Affectionate, entertaining, and full of personality, Antonia always makes her presence known in the best way.

* Antonia, Kylie, Johny, Marmalade, José, and Juanita must be adopted in pairs so each kitten goes to a home with a built in feline companion.*

Backstory: Momma Juliet was trapped through a TNR program and taken to the veterinarian to be spayed. During her exam, the veterinary team discovered she was lactating, meaning she had kittens somewhere waiting for her. The trapping coordinator and several dedicated volunteers immediately began searching the area, and thankfully they found Kylie, Johny, and Antonia.

Four days later, another call came in about three orphaned kittens with no mother. Marmalade, José, and Juanita were still young enough to need nursing, so we carefully introduced them to Juliet and hoped she might accept them. She welcomed them without hesitation, caring for them as if they had always been hers. From that day forward, the six kittens were raised together as one big, happy family, sharing every meal, every wrestling match, every nap, and every milestone side by side.
