DESCRIPTION
Last week a sweet woman that helps us regularly with food, litter and & contributes money, reached out about a couple kittens, she heard were being kept, inappropriately. She wanted to know if I knew of any rescues that would take them? Honestly watching alot of groups being inundated with hundreds, I knew odds were slim.
Raven & Sparrow are from Labelle area, their mother showed up pregnant, delivered, then a few weeks later, disappeared. The people that owned the property, put the kittens in a crate on the porch, in shade, for about 4 weeks. They didn't give a litterbox, they just used pee pads, that they changed 3 times a day. They also weren't fed enough, they were very thin. Sparrow the long haired brown tabby boy, had a tic on his ear, depressed, nervous, his fur was sticky, thick, smelly from being on pee day & night. Raven, the black female didn't take long to warm up, but, skinny, both kittens took 2 1/2 minutes of straight drinking while I was waiting for food to come.
The first night, they held their urine & did not move their bowels, then on the way to the vets in the morning, they pooped in the carrier. So, I put that in the litterbox, they've been in it ever since!
Yesterday 6/23/26, Raven & Sparrow were FeL/FIV tested negative. When I got them Saturday they started their vaccine series and dewormed. While neutering Sparrow, we dug out a whole lot of earmites, but poor Raven was worse, she was impacted with earmites.
Sparrow came out of his shell, Raven tells him its ok to eat or hey look heres a ball you can play with. They've been together, alone & supporting each other in unkempt conditions for at least 4 weeks. Their approximate date of birth is 5/1/2026, making them right now almost 8 weeks. These sweethearts have quickly gained weight, they look forward to being held, although Sparrow takes a few seconds to think about it, he follows Ravens lead and comes forward to be picked up.
This is a link to their Facebook page which has more pictures & video clips....

I believe Raven & Sparrow belong together.

If you would like to contribute toward these kittens vet bill, vaccines, food or litter or our TNR projects, these are the ways you can....thank you so much for supporting us, as we continue to try to help as much as we can.....
