COURTESY POST Sebastian Available for Adoption
Hi! I'm Sebastian, and I'm looking for my forever family.
My story started on the streets of Brockton, where a kind woman cared for me. One day I got into a pretty serious fight, so she took me to the vet to make sure I was okay. After getting stitched up, I came home wearing the dreaded cone of shame. I was so scared by it that I escaped through a window! Spending a week outside wearing that cone wasn't easy—it made eating and surviving really difficult. Thankfully, my guardian found me again and brought me to a wonderful rescue, where I've been patiently waiting for my perfect humans.
Now, lets talk about the important stuff... me!
If you're looking for a cat who truly enjoys being around people, I might just be your perfect match. I'm confident, curious, social, and not easily frightened. I genuinely love interacting with my humans.
I'm incredibly affectionate and love to show it. You'll often find me rubbing against your legs, pressing my face into your hand, and asking for head, chin, and neck scratches. Honestly, I could enjoy those all day long—I never seem to get enough!
I'm a gentle boy who loves being petted. The only places Id rather you avoid are my belly and sides. If you forget, Ill simply let you know Id prefer you stop.
When I'm especially happy, I don't have the loudest purr, but I have another special talent: making biscuits! Whether its on a blanket, in the air, or even on your leg, my paws are always hard at work. If biscuit-making were an Olympic sport, Id definitely take home the gold medal.
People sometimes say I'm a little like a dog because I love being near my people. While I enjoy the occasional nap by myself, Id much rather curl up beside you on the couch or bed. If you pat the spot next to you, there's a good chance Ill happily climb up for a cuddle. Sometimes Ill even settle right on your chest! One funny thing about me is that I wag my tail when I'm happy and getting lots of love. For many cats that means stay away, but for me its just another way of showing I'm content.
I'm also pretty entertaining. When its time to snuggle, I confidently plop down like I own the place. I may not be a full-time lap cat, but I love sharing your chair, walking across your lap, resting on the armrest, or draping myself over your shoulder. I definitely have a goofy side!
Like most cats, I also appreciate having some independence. I enjoy choosing when and where I settle down, and while you can pick me up, Id rather not be carried for long. Ill politely let you know when I'm ready to get back down.
I'm playful, too! Wand toys and ribbons are some of my favorite things, and I get so excited that I sometimes roll right off the bed while chasing them. I also have an adorable habit of sleeping completely stretched out on my back.
Everyone tells me I'm a very handsome guy, but I think my best feature is my sweet, loving nature. I enjoy looking into your eyes, rubbing my face against yours, and sometimes Ill even give you a little kiss if you get close enough.
If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will make you laugh, keep you company, and shower you with love every day, I just might be the cat you've been waiting for.
I cant wait to meet my forever family.
Sebastian is approximately 4 years old, neutered, up-to-date on all his shots, negative for FeLV, yet positive for FIV, but I'm healthy, symptom-free, and can live a long, happy life.
