Lucy was one of BFF’s founder, Joni’s, cats. We found wonderful homes for most of the others and sadly, two have passed away. Lucy was just 5–6 months old when Joni took her in. She was very special to Joni, who simply couldn’t bear to part with her, and Lucy remained by her side for years. Lucy definitely missed Joni after she passed away.

Lucy is around 7-8 years old. She has had a big adjustment and is learning that she can feel safe and loved with other people, too.

With the help of the wonderful volunteers at her foster home, Lucy has made tremendous progress. She is still a little skittish and takes time to warm up, but she is showing us more of her sweet personality every day. She especially loves her Churu treats and will happily accept gentle pets on her head.

Lucy is looking for a special person who understands that trust takes time. She needs someone who will be patient, give her plenty of attention, and allow her to build her confidence at her own pace. We know that with the right person, Lucy will continue to blossom.
