Lilly is a beautiful ginger girl with striking whorled (mackerel) markings and a personality all her own.

She is incredibly lucky to be alive. Baby Lilly came from a colony of more than 100 cats who had suffered terrible neglect and were even being shot at. When rescuers arrived, they found sick and emaciated cats living in truly tragic conditions.

Little Lilly entered foster care while she was still a young kitten and was later adopted along with two other kittens. Unfortunately, after a few months, all three were returned to rescue when they developed tummy problems. Lilly has now fully recovered and is the picture of good health.

Lilly has blossomed into a smart, lively and entertaining young cat. She is playful, curious and alert to every little sound or movement. She is athletic, loves to explore and is always ready to chase, pounce or investigate something new.

Other cats? She likes them. Dogs? She likes them too. Toys? Absolutely—Lilly loves them all!

Lilly also enjoys affection, but she prefers to decide when and how it happens. She can still be a bit wary when hands reach toward her, so her adopter will need to approach her gently and allow her to set the pace. When she is comfortable and in the mood, she genuinely loves being held and petted.

Treats, especially Churu, are very motivating for Lilly. They are a wonderful way to win her trust and build a lasting bond.

Because she is such an active and social young cat, Lilly should be adopted with another young cat or into a home that already has a friendly young kitty who can play, cuddle and grow up with her.
