Meet Jase!

Jase is no stranger to the shelter life, he's been here before and although it's a familiar place, he's taking a little bit of time settling back in. He may come across as a little unsure right now, who can blame him? He's a bit disappointed that things didn't work out for him. Jase is a cuddly and affectionate guy who is mostly on the calmer side. He does get his little playful spurts where he shows off his silly side but mostly, he just wants to kick back, relax, and enjoy getting doted on by his family.

Jase was brought back to the shelter because he had a hard time getting along with the dog in the home. His adopter tried to give them some time to figure it out and Jase was just not happy to be sharing his home or his human with a dog. His previous owner said that Jase is quite the gentleman, he always uses his litter box and he never tries to sneak out of the home. They also said that he is a really great cat, he just has strong feelings about dogs and they would like to see him go to a home where he can truly get comfortable and relax.

Medical Notes: Jase has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) which only affects cats — it cannot be spread to humans or other species. FIV is typically transmitted through deep bite wounds, which is why FIV+ cats do best as the only cat, in FIV-only homes, or in calm, stable households where cats don’t fight. The good news? Cats with FIV can live long, healthy, and happy lives, often with little to no symptoms. With regular vet care and lots of love, many live well beyond the average expectancy.
