Honor & Merit — A Bond That Can’t Be Broken
Honor and Merit are a bonded pair of 7-month-old kittens who have been through a lot together — and they’ve become each other’s safe place.
They came from the same hoarding-house situation, where many of the cats were sick and malnourished. We don’t know for certain if they are actually related, but after watching them together, there is no question that they are family to each other.
Honor is a gorgeous white boy with striking blue eyes. He is affectionate and loves attention, happily coming right up to you for ear scratches and his share of love.
Merit is his smaller tabby companion and an absolute love bug. She flops and rolls onto her belly for attention and has a wonderfully affectionate personality.
But the sweetest thing about Honor and Merit isn’t just how much they love people — it’s how much they love each other.
When they have been separated, they cry for one another. Merit has cried for Honor when he wasn’t in the room, and Honor has been known to meow for his little companion when she isn’t around. They actively seek each other out and are noticeably more comfortable when they are together.
These two don’t just tolerate each other. They genuinely depend on one another.
After everything they’ve already been through, we don’t want them to lose the one constant they’ve had throughout it all. They deserve a home where they can stay together, continue growing, and finally know what it feels like to be safe and loved.
Honor & Merit are looking for a forever home together.
