Hi, I'm Cinder! I'm truly one of the sweetest guys you'll ever meet. I live for pets, chin scratches, and finding the coziest spot to curl up next to my favorite person.

You may notice that my right eye is a bit cloudy. I can't see much on that side, but my left eye still tracks a wand toy like a champ. Playing with a wand toy is one of my favorite activities besides sitting in the windowsill watching the birds and squirrels. I get along great with other cats, so I could fit right into a multi-cat home with a proper introduction. And fair warning: if you give me a soft blanket, I will make biscuits on it and pretend to suckle on it like I'm still a little kitten, even though I'm 8 years old. It's just how I show I'm happy and content. My foster mom says my purrs and biscuits are her favorite way to wake up. Afterwards, we sit together to eat my breakfast because I am a social eater and want us to eat our meals together.

One thing worth mentioning is that I have FIV which might sound scary, but I promise it's not! FIV is a virus that affects the immune system, but typically FIV+ cats like me live long, healthy, normal lives with the same basic care as any other cat. It's not contagious to humans, and it can only be transmitted to other cats through very deep bite wounds - not casual contact. With regular vet checkups and a loving indoor home, I'm set up to thrive.
