Lexie - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Antioch, California

Lexie is such a sweet special young kitty about 2 years old who makes the best squeaks. She came to us blind but she doesn't let that get her down. She likely has been blind majority of her life and is still extremely playful & affectionate. Lexie uses chirps and trills to communicate with you since she can't see.

Lexie was a cat the was previously TNR'd but a good samaritan reached out to us when they noticed her laying in the street ill. Once in our care we discovered she had neurological FIP and only after she started feeling better we realized she was blind which was unrelated to the FIP. She bounced back quickly with treatment and hasn't looked back. She is patiently waiting now for her second lease on life to chirp and purr in your home.

Since Lexie is blind, she would prefer to be the only cat in the house. She has been around other cats but startles easily since she cannot see when they are approaching her. She will also need a slow introduction to her new home but with a little love and time we think she will adapt quite well to the good life with lots of pets and chin rubs.

Lexie is microchipped, spayed and up to date on vaccines.
