Rocky B here. I ditched the streets for a warm, loving home. Is that with you? I have some secrets, such as how long I was on the streets for. So that means you have to be a little patient with me as I get used to my new surroundings. However, if you have cats and dogs, I would love some new friends! I have never been around small children in my foster home, so they make me a little nervous. Does this sound like your home? Can I come and be friends with you?
*I tested positive for that pesky FIV, but don't worry, it's not contagious and I don't need any special medication or food. Just a lot of your love to make up for this pesky diagnosis!
FIV positive kitties (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) cannot spread to people. and cats with FIV can live a long, happy life just like any other cat!
Rocky B is FIV positive, however, many kitties with FIV live as long and as healthfully as other cats, as long as they receive good nutrition and good medical care. FIV is very difficult to transmit between cats, and poses no health risk to humans. It is spread primarily among cats through deep, penetrating bite wounds. Rocky B can live as the only kitty in the house, with other FIV+ kitties, or even with kitties who don't have the virus if they are not aggressive.
