**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**
Hercules came to AVA with his mum Marbles, brother Ghost and 12 other cats who were surrendered by a backyard breeder. Now these lovely cats are ready for a fresh start and will make an instant family for a lucky adopter.
Hercules is a gregarious, energetic, green-eyed, Bengal/DSH mix, born to a Bengal housemate of Marbles who was not able to care for him. Hercules has only ever known Marbles as his mother and Ghost as his brother. Though Marbles is not his biological mother, Hercules seems to have her intelligence and playfulness.
Hercules loves every toy! In his foster home, he was initially scared of and surprised by wand toys, but now he knows where they are kept and gets very excited when he sees any wand toy coming out to play! Like Ghost, he will need some more practice learning that human hands are not toys.
Hercules is refining his jumping and climbing skills by chasing a wand toy through a homemade obstacle course. When Hercules is finally tired out, he loves to curl up with Ghost and Marbles. He also happily snuggles on human chests and laps.
Would you like to make Hercules, Ghost and Marbles a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form
Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.
Adoption fees are $350 for Ghost, $300 for Hercules and $300 for Marbles. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
