Domestic Medium Hair Cats Available for Adoption

Meet sweet Truffles! Truffles was clearly a dumped pet when he was rescued in Bensonhurst. Multiple feeders spotted him and when one of our rescuers were aiming to trap at a large colony, Truffles volunteered himself and walked right into the trap.. He didn't put up a fuss after he was trapped, just continued to eat.. he was obviously a hungry boy and ready to be back inside!

Upon bringing him in, it was clear he was working through some past trauma. We can tell that he likely didn't have the best experience with humans prior and was easily overstimulated and would give gentle warnings through some bites and meows. He was just letting us know he wasn't completely feeling safe just yet.

Fast forward a month since being neutered and rescued, Truffles has turned into such a sweetheart! A difference what some time and patience can do! He greets his foster every morning during meal times while rubbing up against her legs. He truly craves attention, affection and will demand pets! He is also a very playful boy who loves to chase his fishing wand toy and loves nothing more than his catnip stuffed banana.

While we still continue to learn his behavior, we think he would do best with an experienced adopter who understands queues from cats and is willing to give him time to adjust in a new setting. We know for a fact he will reward you with his love and companionship! Truffles will want to be your one and only and would be best in a home without any young kids.

Truffles is about 2 years old. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, treated for fleas and parasites and tested FIV-/FeLV-. As a possible Maine Coon mix, his adoption fee is $250.00.
