A Soft-Coated Beauty with a Gentle Heart
Nyxie and her brother Hexley were found at a construction site by a kind young woman who cared for them for two months. When it came time to find a rescue, Nyxie’s shy nature led to two rescues turning them away. Thankfully, Desert Paws Rescue said YES!
Now, let’s talk about Nyxie!
This gorgeous gray girl is a gentle soul learning that the world isn’t so scary. New people and surroundings can overwhelm her, but Churu treats and Bonker sticks are the way to her heart!
Nyxie needs a few days to decompress in a quiet starter room (please, not a bathroom!) where she can feel safe and secure.
She allows herself to be held, but prefers to decide when she’s had enough. Respect her boundaries, earn her trust, and she’ll happily jump up beside you for some quiet companionship.
Her Perfect Home?
-A quieter household with patient, understanding humans.
-A cozy starter room and time to adjust at her own pace.
-Happy as an only cat, but could do well with an older feline friend or a companion later on.
