Manny is one of the sweetest cats we've ever had come in to our program here at GGOH. And his story just makes us sad. Thankfully, he is here and we will do our best to find him the purfect furever home.

Manny was a product of TNR - trap, neuter, release. However, the TNR group felt Manny was just too friendly to but him back outside, where his future would be unknown. So, Manny went to foster. The person in charge of Manny put him into an abandoned/empty duplex with two other "feral" cats that most likely were from the same colony that Manny came from. The foster was stopping by the building once per day to feed these cats, but that was the extent of their interactions. Why? We just can't wrap our heads around why any foster would think this is the best scenario. A cat that is deemed "too friendly" to be put back into the colony where he came from, only to be tossed into a home with little to no human interaction. These cats would have felt defeated, and betrayed, and likely would have just eventually given up. So, we stepped up and committed to Manny while the TNR group worked to do the same for the others.

As you can imagine, Manny has quickly become a favorite here. He is gentle and easy going. He likes getting attention from us, and we give him what he wants. :) He's good with other cats but mostly tends to just keep to himself. He enjoys his time on the catio but doesn't try to escape - he seems content knowing he is safe.

Manny has a medium hair length, so easy to grab by toddlers, which we do not think he would take too kindly to so older children is our recommendation. And dogs are an unknown, so keep that in mind too, although we do think he would be fine with proper introductions.

If you are looking for a chill, slightly older cat (roughly 4 yrs.), please stop in and meet Manny. He's pretty fabulous and we think you'll be saying the same after meeting him.
