Introducing Benny, a magnificent orange gentleman ready to be your own lion king.

Are you looking for magnificent? Meet Benny, an amazing six-year-old orange cat who came heartbreakingly close to never getting this chance. He was facing euthanasia at a high-kill shelter in southern Illinois when NAWS stepped in to rescue him. Now safe, Benny is waiting for the person who will turn that narrow escape into the beginning of a cherished new life.

Benny is a fabulous, handsome fellow with incredibly soft orange fur that makes him look like a regal little lion. But what Benny truly wants is not a throne—it is your attention. He loves being noticed, spoken to, and petted, and he soaks up affection from the people around him. We think that beneath his majestic appearance is a devoted lap cat in waiting, ready to settle close and enjoy all the love he nearly missed.

Benny was saved from euthanasia so he could have more than survival—he could have a home, a family, and years of affection ahead of him. Give him the chance to trade a shelter cage for a favorite lap and the attention he treasures. He could be your very own lion king and the loving companion who makes your home feel warmer every day.

Please make Benny’s rescue complete by adopting him. Ask to meet this affectionate boy today, give him the attention he adores, and offer him the safe, loving forever home he was rescued to find.

Want to help him feel extra pampered while he waits? Click the Sponsor button on his profile! Your one-time gift helps cover food, litter, medical care, and all the little extras that make shelter life cozier. Thank you for helping save lives!

All NAWS cats are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date on vaccines.

A Cat Adoption Application is required should you decide you would like to apply to adopt a NAWS cat. Please complete and submit the application electronically on our website at http://www.nawsus.org.
