Meet Morteeni 💕



At 81⁄2 years old, Morteeni has found herself searching for a fresh start after being returned to our rescue. While she's understandably shy and cautious at first, beneath that timid exterior is a gentle girl who simply needs someone willing to earn her trust.



Sadly, during her time away from us, Morteeni was declawed--a procedure prohibited by our adoption contract--and it's left her feeling vulnerable. Without her natural means of defense, she's become hand shy and can be easily overstimulated. We can't blame her for needing a little extra patience.



She's currently rocking an adorable lion cut after having painful mats removed, but her gorgeous, fluffy coat will be back before you know it.



Morteeni is looking for a quiet, low-traffic home where she can settle in at her own pace. She does well with other cats, but we'd recommend no young children. We're unsure how she'd feel about dogs.



All Morteeni wants is a family who will love her for who she is, respect her boundaries, and remind her that people can be kind. We know that with time, patience, and understanding, this sweet girl will blossom into a devoted companion.
