MA QUARANTINE FEE (Applies to Certain Adoptions)
An additional $150 fee applies to:
All Massachusetts residents, and
Any adopter (regardless of state of residence) adopting a pet that has completed the Massachusetts quarantine process and is being released from a Massachusetts foster home or facility
This additional fee helps offset a portion of the increased costs associated with Massachusetts-based fosters, quarantine requirements, and out-of-state transport compliance.
This fee helps cover:
48-hour mandatory Massachusetts quarantine boarding
Required veterinary exam and release from the MA quarantine facility
Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration
