Meet Sissy, a beautiful fluffy, young cat who is looking for a place to call home.
Sissy is around 4 years old. She and her brother showed up at a citizens home about 3 years ago. They were trapped and fixed and gradually converted to indoor life.
Sissys confident, outgoing brother passed away last year, leaving her on her own. She slowly adjusted and started to gain confidence and became more outgoing, no longer living in the shadow of her extrovert brother. While she is still shy around strangers, she is very comfortable around her rescuer/ caregiver who loves her dearly.
Unfortunately, for reasons outwith her control, Sissys caregiver is no longer able to keep her and asked if we could help find her a loving home.
Given Sissys shy personality, we are looking for an adopter who is patient and cat savvy and understands that some cats need more time to adjust to new situations than others. Sissy will most likely initially hide in a new home but once she feels comfortable, she will be your best friend.
She would likely do well in a calm home where she has a cat buddy. She hasnt been around dogs at all and we feel a dog in the home might overwhelm her.
