Precious - Domestic Medium Hair Cat for Adoption in Clayton, California

Someone threw this kitten out of their car on highway 4.
Yesterday evening, this tiny girl was thrown from a moving vehicle onto the freeway. Let that sink in. Someone looked at a defenseless kitten and decided tossing her out of a moving car was an acceptable way to get rid of her.
It is disgusting and cruel.
Thankfully, an incredible EBARR volunteer and adopter, Deann, jumped into action and saved her before she was hit by a car.
I was out of the area and couldn't take her in, so I immediately reached out to our foster team. Jenny responded without hesitation, preparing a quarantine space while Deann rushed this baby to VEG emergency.
The veterinarian found, no microchip, abrasions above her eye, ear, chin and across her little body consistent with being thrown from a moving vehicle. Somehow, unbelievably, she escaped being struck by another car.
She is now safe in foster care, resting and healing
There is NEVER an excuse for this. Shelters are overwhelmed. Rescues are drowning. Everyone is stretched beyond capacity but throwing an animal from a moving vehicle is not desperation. It is cruelty.
Huge thank you to Deann for refusing to drive past and Jenny for immediately saying YES when this baby needed somewhere safe to land.
Sometimes saving a life really does take a village.
