Muru Noki - Domestic Long Hair Cat for Adoption in Stratford, Ontario

Muru and Noki have been with us for over a year now, and we really want to find them a home together.

Muru came to us through our TNR program with her kittens. All of her kittens were adopted, and we discovered that Muru was actually pregnant when she was spayed. Noki is her daughter and was the last of the litter.

When we first got them in, we realized just how severely underweight they were. They had been living on a property where the owner wanted to keep them as mousers. Unfortunately, there was a belief that if cats were well fed, they wouldn’t hunt. That’s a whole other conversation for another day.

Right now, our focus is on these two girls and finding them the home they deserve.

Muru is about 3 years old and Noki is approaching 2. Both are spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

Muru is a sweet girl who loves greeting her foster mom and visitors by rubbing around their legs. Noki is a little more stand-offish at first, but once she gets to know you, she really enjoys being petted.

They are currently in foster care with other pets, but we feel they would do best in a home with no other animals. We would also prefer a home without children. A single person or couple who is willing to give them some time to settle in would be ideal.

We know that’s a lot to ask, and it definitely makes finding the right home harder. But we want to give them the best chance of being happy and staying in their new home.

They have never shown aggression. They are just two cats who need a little time to get comfortable and trust you.

Foster-to-adopt is also a possibility and can be discussed with anyone interested.

These two really do deserve a chance. We honestly don’t believe they would have survived if they had been left outside.

We just need to find the right person who is willing to give them that chance.

ADOPTION FEE IS $200 per cat.
