Cheeto is a tiny senior gentleman with one very simple wish: a soft place to land for his golden years.

At 12 years old and just 6 pounds, this incredibly sweet boy is looking for a quiet, calm retirement home where he can relax, feel safe, and be thoroughly adored.

Cheeto came to us with quite a few mats, so he unfortunately needed to be shaved. But don’t let his temporary haircut fool you! He’s a beautiful long-haired kitty, and once that luxurious coat grows back, he’ll need regular brushing to keep him comfortable and mat-free.

He has been around other cats and does just fine. He mostly keeps to himself and seems perfectly happy doing his own thing. We’re unsure how he feels about dogs, but we suspect his approach would be to find a cozy hiding spot and quietly observe until he feels safe.

We also had bloodwork done, and everything looks good for a gentleman his age.

Cheeto isn’t asking for much. A peaceful home. A comfy bed. Gentle hands. Maybe a sunny window to nap in.

After 12 years of being a good boy, we think he’s earned a retirement package with excellent benefits.

This cat is available for adoption from Oceana County Animal Control. If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this cat's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact persons in the order they are on the list. The adoption fee is $35 and you receive certificates for $25 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies if not already done.
