Cordelia - Domestic Long Hair Cat for Adoption in Prosper, Texas

Cordelia is a gorgeous little ball of fluffy energy! She's still in her frisky kitten era, and loves to play with her string on a stick, and krinkly paper balls. She's great with kids, and can frequently be found "helping" her 4-year-old foster brother with his Hot Wheels tracks. She has never met a stranger, and is an excellent hostess when guests come over, rubbing on legs and jumping in laps. Sometimes she has to be reminded that people food is not for kitties :) She loves to be with people, and loves if foster mom is working from home and she can sit right next to her and doze. Foster mom often wakes up in the middle of the night to find her sleeping on her shoulder with her head resting on her cheek. She's a great eater, and so far hasn't found a food that she doesn't like (very relatable). During a July 2026 vet visit, her x-ray showed a slight possible heart enlargement. The vet is currently unconcerned. Future care may require a consult with a specialist. Cordelia loves to play but does need to be reminded that hands are not toys, and she's good at being re-directed to a cat toy. She does best with some dedicated time to wear her out with playing before bed. She's pretty brave, and even when she's nervous about things--like the vacuum cleaner! She likes to be held on her foster mom's chest and will sometimes ask to be picked up when she comes home from a day out. We aren't sure if she will do well with other cats. She had a traumatic event and was injured by a male kitty. She may be ok with another laid back female kitty. She would be just fine as an only kitty. She's just the sweetest little girl and will be the light of someone's life.
