Meet Heathcliff!
A handsome, extra large boy with majestic looks that suggest he could be a Maine Coon (or at least magnificent enough to play one on TV!). Despite his rugged good looks and adorable crinkled ear, Heathcliff's story started with heartbreak. He was thrown from a moving vehicle on a busy roadway, left alone and bewildered. We don't know what kind of life he had before a kind human rescued him from the side of the road, but Heathcliff isn't looking back, he's only looking forward to finding his forever family. Despite his rough start, Heathcliff's heart is as big as he is. Since coming into foster care, he has proven to be an absolute love bug with zero concept of personal space.

The moment you give him a few pets or chin scritches, he turns his purr motor all the way up to 11. A true professional shadow, he's your dream cat if you're looking for a Stage 5 Clinger. He simply wants to be right by your side, whether you're working, relaxing, or moving from room to room. Heathcliff has so much love to give and is so ready to leave his past behind. He's looking for a home where he can be cherished, showered with affection, and kept safe forever.

NOTE: Heathcliff is FIV positive, but don't let this scare you! Heathcliff is young and perfectly healthy, except that he carries this virus. FIV is feline immunodeficiency virus. Cats can live long, healthy lives with FIV. FIV is primarily
transmitted to other cats via bites (must be transmitted through blood) and is not transferred via litter boxes or food
