Maestro is a gorgeous 1-year-old longhaired boy with a sweet, gentle personality and a heart full of love for other cats.

While he can be shy when meeting new people or adjusting to a new environment, Maestro blossoms with a little patience. Once he feels safe, he enjoys neck scratches, brushing, treats, and spending time near his favorite humans.

His absolute favorite thing, though, is other cats. Maestro LOVES feline friends and is happiest with a kitty companion. He greets other cats with headbutts, cuddles up beside them, and will dramatically flop over in front of them in hopes of making a new friend. He would thrive in a home with another friendly cat to help him feel confident and secure.

Maestro is a calm, lower-energy cat who prefers a peaceful environment. He's curious about the world around him and likes to quietly observe before joining in. In his previous home, he lived successfully with adults, children, and other cats. He currently lives harmoniously with dogs in his foster home.

Maestro is also currently being evaluated for a persistent issue affecting how food moves through his swallowing tube to his stomach. His exact diagnosis is still being determined, but the condition is not contagious or considered life-threatening. It does require ongoing monitoring and management, and his rescue will be able to provide adopters with the most up-to-date information about his care. Any interested adopters should be prepared that he may continue to need diagnoses/check ups.
