Cubby - Domestic Long Hair Cat for Adoption in Mantua Township, New Jersey

This is Cubby, named after a little bear... because I’m not entirely sure this little creature isn’t an actual teddy bear. When we found Cubby he just melted in our arms. He loves to be held and receive scritches- he will turn into a literal cuddle puddle in your arms. He will flop back and let you rub his little belly. Don’t let him fool you though, I’m pretty sure this little teddy bear is going to become a much larger teddy bear when he grows up. He’s growing larger and fluffier by the day. But he seems like he will always be a cuddler- this guy is a cuddle-master.

Cubby is also incredibly curious about humans and what they are doing and if they could please pay more attention to him, please and thank you! If you don’t pay full attention to him- that’s okay... he’ll amuse himself. Cubby can play with cat toys for hours, throwing and chasing them and growling when they “get away from him.”

Cubby will wrestle, jump and run on the cat wheel any time of the day. Cubby is a big time fan of bedtime snuggles with humans or the other cats. He loves to lay (flop) on humans laps while they have their morning coffee. He loves to be carried from room to room or just talked to.

Cubby loves to play- toy spiders and spring toys are his favorites. Cubby also really loves chasing the laser pointer and will chase the red dot up the cat wheel if you let him. Cubby comes with a toy spider during adoption- please be advised he will need more, they come in a jar from Petco. He is obsessed. Things Cubby likes: Sleeping next to warm bodies (human or cat). Sitting in the window cat hammock. Getting underfoot. Treat time. Being photogenic. Chasing toys. The cat tree. Growing to eventually become the size of a small bear cub.
