Hissy & Lumi:

Some sibling pairs are sweet. Some are playful. Some are goofy.

Hissy and Lumi? They're all three—and then some.

Meet the fluffiest dynamic duo on the planet: Hissy, the handsome long-haired brown tabby boy with Maine Coon looks and a personality larger than his luxurious floof, and Lumi, his gorgeous gray-and-brown tabby sister whose name means "light"—which is fitting because she brightens every room she enters.

Now, before you worry, Hissy isn't actually hissy at all. In fact, the biggest mystery surrounding him is how a kitten this sweet ended up with that name! He's a professional cuddle enthusiast, part-time comedian, and full-time adventurer. If there's a toy to chase, a lap to nap on, or a silly stunt to attempt, Hissy is your guy.

Then there's Lumi, the fluffy little enchantress who combines beauty, brains, and boundless curiosity. She's playful, affectionate, and always ready to join her brother's latest scheme—though she prefers to let him take the blame when they're caught being adorable.

Together, these two are a nonstop source of entertainment. One minute they're racing through the house at full zoomie speed, the next they're wrestling dramatically over a toy mouse, and five minutes later they're curled up together in a fluffy pile of purrs.

Their favorite activities include:

- Olympic-level zoomies
- Advanced feather wand hunting
- Competitive biscuit making
- Bird watching from the window
- Following humans around as personal assistants
- Looking ridiculously cute without even trying

Even better, Hissy and Lumi are social butterflies who get along wonderfully with other cats, dogs, and children. They love making friends and are always ready to add a little extra joy to someone's day.

If your home could use more laughter, more purrs, and significantly more fluff, Hissy and Lumi are ready to answer the call.

Adopt Hissy & Lumi and receive:
- Endless entertainment
- Unlimited snuggles
- Daily laughs
- Two best friends for life

Some kittens steal your heart... These two will take it, fill it with love, and never give it back.

Lumi & Hissy are bonded siblings and must be adopted together. They are approximately 8-10 weeks old!

Our adoption fee is $650! We do not accept deposits or the adoption fee until you have met your new fur babies and are ready to bring them home.

If you think you are the right home for them, please apply to adopt here:

Important Information:
All of our animals are fully vetted before going to their furever homes. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines (age appropriate), dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped!

You must be an approved adopter in order to go on meet and greets. This saves everyone’s time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose.

We are very quick to respond and process applications! All animals are posted until they have gone home to their new family. This animal may have other interested adopters in line. Please apply quickly and be prepared to welcome them into your home within a few days if you are interested.

The Adoption Process:
After our volunteers receive the application, they contact the potential adopter to set up an interview. During the interview they will:
   •    discuss the animal the adopter is applying to adopt,
   •    talk to the adopter about their experience with animals,
   •    find out more about the type of animal the adopter is looking to adopt,
   •    go over any questions the rescue may have regarding your application,
   •    help find the perfect fit for the adopter's family and lifestyle,
   •    and answer any questions the adopter has about the animal they are looking to adopt, the rescue, and how the adoption process works.

As part of the approval process, we require 2 non-family personal references. Our volunteers contact both references and have conversations regarding the potential adopter. If we are unable to reach the references provided, additional references may be requested. We also require a vet check. We will call the vet to conduct a short reference check.

A video walk-through of the adopter's home (and yard, if adopting a dog) is also required. The safety of our animals is one of our top priorities. They deserve to have a safe and secure place to live. The video can be sent to the Whiskers Fund email address or Facebook messenger upon submitting your application. When submitting the video, please reference which animal(s) you are applying to adopt.

Once the adopter is approved and matched with an animal, we will make arrangements for the animal to go to their new home. We hope to have each animal in their new home within a week. We are very clear that we will be keeping in touch and checking in for updates.

Interested in Fostering?
We would love to have you join our family! Fill out the same application above- we have our fosters go through the same process as adopters!
