Timber - Domestic Long Hair Cat for Adoption in Johnston, Rhode Island

Introducing TIMBER! TIMBER is a handsome guy with a classic brown and black tabby patterned coat. TIMBER'S long, fluffy fur gives him a majestic look! TIMBER has a tiny touch of white below his chin and eyes that stare into your soul. Our vet staff estimates TIMBER to be between two to four years old.

TIMBER was brought to our cat center after he had been rescued from an unfavorable hoarding-type situation. Upon arrival, TIMBER had a few superficial scabs, his nails on his front paw pads were damaged and infected, and his lush, long fur was severely matted. Our skilled vet staff tended to all of TIMBER'S medical needs including antibiotics and a full shave. Within a short time, all of TIMBER'S minor wounds healed and his long, soft fur grew back beautifully. At first, TIMBER was quite hesitant and unsure of his new shelter surroundings. The poor guy seemed defeated and all he wanted to do was hide and burrow beneath the blankets in his cage to create a "safe space". All of our volunteers began to socialize and work with TIMBER on a daily basis to help gain his trust and boost his confidence. It took him some time to settle in and realize he was secure and we were all here to help him. Although TIMBER is still a bit shy, he has certainly come a long way and made great strides since he's been with us. TIMBER will need a patient, caring and nurturing adopter(s) that understand more progress is to come if TIMBER is allowed to set the pace on his terms. TIMBER can be pet, gently brushed, and he also is a big fan of tasty, lickable cat treats too! We continue to socialize, interact and build this boy's trust every chance we get. A loving, stable, peaceful home would do him a world of wonder and guarantee him the bright, happy, healthy and carefree future he so rightfully deserves.

Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FeLV/FIV tested negative, Flea prevention applied and Microchipped.
