Tabby Deserves Her Soft Landing

Some animals come into rescue needing to be saved from the streets. Others come to us because, through no fault of their own, the life they knew simply disappears.

Tabby is one of those cats.

In 2024, at 12 years old, Tabby came into the care of Coffee Cause for Paws after her owner passed away. She lost the person she knew, the home she knew, and everything familiar to her.

Since then, she has been adopted twice. Her first adoption lasted about a year before she was returned. She was given another chance at a home and, after six months, Tabby has once again been returned to us.

None of it was her fault.

And that’s the part that breaks our hearts.

Tabby is now 14 years old. She isn’t asking for much. She doesn’t need excitement or adventure.
She just needs someone willing to open their home for whatever time she has left.

She is an easygoing, gentle, incredibly sweet older girl who deserves to know what it feels like to settle into a home and never have to leave again.
We want Tabby’s next car ride to take her home for good. We want her to have a favorite sunny spot, a soft bed, a person who knows all her little routines, and the security of knowing that this time, she gets to stay.

At 14, Tabby may not have as many years ahead of her as a kitten does—but those years matter just as much. Maybe even more.

Somewhere out there is the person who won’t look at Tabby and see an “old cat.”
Tabby deserves her soft landing.

She deserves her forever.

And more than anything, she deserves to never be returned again.
