Some kittens arrive in rescue with a dramatic backstory. Fabio practically blew in with the wind. One day, he simply appeared in a well-managed community cat colony in Statesville. The wonderful woman who cares for the colony knows every cat that comes to dinner. She's made it her mission to ensure they're all trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and looked after.

So when this tiny, fluffy stranger suddenly materialized... She immediately knew something wasn't right. Her best guess? Fabio had somehow fallen from underneath a moving car near the colony and wandered into the only place where he stood a chance of finding help.

He was just a baby. A frightened little puffball with nowhere to go. Fortunately for Fabio, he picked exactly the right colony to crash. The caretaker humanely trapped him, expecting another scared feral kitten. Instead... The second he realized he was safe, his true personality came pouring out.

Her grandsons would sit with him, gently stroking his impossibly fluffy fur, and Fabio would respond with a nonstop motorboat purr. "Oh..." she realized. "You're not feral at all." "You're just scared."

Knowing she had a friend with a well-known weakness for long-haired fuzzy kittens, she made the call to a Sunkissed Acres volunteer. Because honestly... Who could say no to this face? Fast forward just a few days, and Fabio has traded uncertainty for the good life. He's been:
Neutered, Vaccinated, Treated for fleas and intestinal parasites, and has combo tested negative for FeLV & FIV.

He's got a full belly, soft blankets, toys, and—most importantly—other kittens to play with. And that's where things get really entertaining. Fabio doesn't just like to play. Fabio likes to PLAY. Capital letters. Bold font. Exclamation point.
This boy wrestles like he's training for the Kitten Heavyweight Championship. He zooms, pounces, bunny-kicks, tackles, and invents entirely new sports before breakfast. Thankfully, he's found his perfect sparring partner. Whiskey has enthusiastically accepted the position of Fabio's Official Wrestling BuddyTM, and the two spend their days rumbling, tumbling, chasing each other through the house, and collapsing into fluffy cuddle piles once they've completely exhausted themselves. They're basically tiny professional wrestlers...who occasionally stop for snacks and naps.

Because of his energetic personality, Fabio must go to a home with another young, playful kitten or cat who enjoys rough-and-tumble play. He's happiest when he has a buddy who can match his enthusiasm—and if you're looking for a ready-made dynamic duo, Whiskey has already submitted his application for the job.

When playtime finally ends, Fabio transforms back into the sweet, affectionate little kitten he was always meant to be. He'll happily curl up beside you, soak up chin scratches, and purr with the same grateful little motor that first convinced everyone he was simply a lost baby looking for someone to love him.
