Atomic Kitten - Domestic Long Hair Cat for Adoption in Boulder, Colorado

Atomic Kitten is a sweet, playful girl with a serious love of freeze-dried treats and chin scratches. She runs, plays, and explores just like any other cat, then happily settles in for affection from her favorite person.

She is a bit of an introvert and can be timid when adjusting to new people or situations. Atomic Kitten may not make the first move right away, so she would do best with someone who is comfortable initiating interaction and giving her the time she needs to feel safe. Once she chooses you as her person, her loving, affectionate side begins to shine.

Atomic Kitten does well with other cats, but she is more interested in her people and does not require a feline companion in her future home. She could be happy with friendly cats or as the only kitty soaking up all the attention for herself.

Atomic Kitten is also an FIP survivor. Her illness affected her muscle control, leaving her with some incontinence as a lasting effect. She has some bladder and bowel control, but frequent "sprinkles" and the occasional surprise poo make diapers the easiest way to keep her clean and comfortable. Her routine is much simpler than it may sound. She typically needs two or three diaper changes each day and a quick five-minute butt bath most days. Regular hygiene shaves also help make caring for her easier. Once you get the hang of it, her routine quickly becomes just another normal part of the day.

Atomic Kitten doesn't know she is a special-needs cat. She knows she is a snack connoisseur, professional toy chaser, and devoted companion who happens to wear diapers.

She has already overcome the hardest part of her story. Now she is looking for a patient person willing to make the first move and give this extraordinary girl the safe, loving forever she deserves.

She is currently being fostered in Lakewood, CO and approved applicants can meet her in home or if preferred her foster parent is happy to coordinate visits at Elevated Communities Cat Cafe if scheduled in advance.

There is a $12 entry fee to visit the cafe, which helps support the care of the resident cats and the mission of Elevated Communities.
