Bea has been with us for a very long time, and her journey has not been an easy one. We know that she was thrown outside, but we also believe she was abused. When she was at animal control, she could not be touched, and if not for an old injury, which causes her to limp, she may have been presumed to be better suited for a barn. After being brought to Help From My Friends, she slowly warmed up to being touched and brushed, though she swatted us often and sometimes with claws out.
Bea was overwhelmed by the community cat room, however, she did well with and was a good friend to one of our greatest loves and resident cats, Rudy. It seemed they understood each other most.
Bea likes having company around, yet she prefers cats who will give her space. She will need a quiet home with no children and a person or family to be patient while she adjusts.
She is likely around 3 years old, can be very talkative, playful, and is a very loving girl. Once you have her trust, Bea will soak up lots of love and pets. Eventually, in a home environment, we think she will fully trust her humans and be as happy as she has ever been.
If you’re interested in Bea and can give her the home she deserves, please visit helpfrommyfriends.org and fill out a pre-adoption form
