Calypso - Calico Cat for Adoption in South San Francisco, California

Calypso is affectionate, athletic and playful. She enjoys taking naps in laps, sunbathing and out runs her littermates chasing teaser toys. She is curious and intelligent- she enjoys food puzzle toys and is food motivated. She is quiet and loves to hang out with both her littermates and fosters for naps and playtime.

The Calico cat is known for its unique tri color coat pattern of white, orange, and black. These cats are almost always female due to their genetics, with their striking coats often displaying a patchwork appearance. Calicos are not a specific breed but rather a color pattern found in various breeds, including American Shorthair and Persian. They are typically lively, affectionate, and confident felines, making them popular and charming companions in many households.
