Gwen (one eye) - Calico Cat for Adoption in Huntington, New York

Hello, my name is Gwen and I am around 5 yrs old. My owner fell on some hard times and I ended up at the town shelter. I was completely traumatized from being there so the volunteers at GPS are showering me with love! I am learning to trust again! I am insanely sweet with the most soothing purr.. I get along well with other cats and I am an old soul who would do anything for a quiet home with endless love!

The Calico cat is known for its unique tri color coat pattern of white, orange, and black. These cats are almost always female due to their genetics, with their striking coats often displaying a patchwork appearance. Calicos are not a specific breed but rather a color pattern found in various breeds, including American Shorthair and Persian. They are typically lively, affectionate, and confident felines, making them popular and charming companions in many households.
