Hera - Calico Cat for Adoption in Frankfort, Indiana

This pretty girl is Hera. She's 1 1/2 years old and is sweet and friendly. Hera just finished raising her babies and is now ready for someone to baby her. She is a little doll! Hera is a gorgeous Calico, which usually get adopted quickly, but cat adoptions seem to have slowed down in the past few weeks. We hope her stay is a short one. If you would like to meet this sweet girl, please email the shelter at cchs04@sbcglobal.net and request an application or visit during open hours.

The Calico cat is known for its unique tri color coat pattern of white, orange, and black. These cats are almost always female due to their genetics, with their striking coats often displaying a patchwork appearance. Calicos are not a specific breed but rather a color pattern found in various breeds, including American Shorthair and Persian. They are typically lively, affectionate, and confident felines, making them popular and charming companions in many households.
