With his beautiful shaded silver coat, thick, plush fur, and sweet, loving nature, Handsome is every bit as charming as his name suggests! This young British Shorthair gentleman, estimated to be around 1–2 years old, has a special way of making you feel loved, and he’s always happy to see you. Handsome is a little expert at showing affection, whether he’s rubbing up against your legs to say hello or keeping you company while you go about your day. One of his cutest quirks? He has a particular fondness for socks and slippers! So, don’t be surprised if your footwear becomes part of his welcome-home routine.
When he’s not busy being your little shadow, Handsome enjoys playtime at a moderate pace. His favorite toys are rattle mice and spring toys, which are sure to bring out his playful side. He’s also a curious fellow and often one of the first to investigate something new, though he appreciates having his trusted human nearby for a little reassurance.
He is affectionate with people he knows and may be a bit quiet or reserved when meeting new faces. Give him a little time to settle in, and you’ll discover the loving companion waiting just beneath that gorgeous, plush coat. He enjoys being held and receiving attention, and while he’s generally a quiet boy, he knows how to speak up when mealtime or treats are on the agenda! His grooming routine is another pleasure, as he does well with gentle brushing—a wonderful opportunity to bond while keeping his beautiful coat looking its best.
Handsome does have a sensitive tummy, so he’ll need a novel-protein diet to help keep his digestive system happy and healthy. His new family should be prepared to maintain his dietary needs and provide consistency with his food.
When it comes to feline friendships, Handsome can be a little selective about his companions. He tends to prefer easygoing kitties who are content doing their own thing and aren’t overly assertive or demanding. He appreciates a peaceful, respectful relationship where everyone can enjoy their own space and come together on their own terms. A laid-back feline companion who respects his boundaries would likely be the best match for him. His experience with children and dogs is unknown, but he may do well in a home with older, calm children or a gentle, cat-friendly dog, provided introductions are slow and thoughtful.
