Caviar is one very special boy with an unforgettable story. It all started when his colony feeder reached out to us asking for help. He had a severe, infected wound around his neck that had been getting worse for quite some time and looked truly devastating. At that point, she was afraid there might be nothing left to do but trap him and humanely end his suffering. But Caviar had very different plans.

He turned out to be an incredibly strong boy with an enormous will to live, and once we saw that, giving up on him was simply not an option. His recovery was long and required a lot of care — countless wound-care sessions, light therapy, supplements, and plenty of patience. Caviar went through all of it like an absolute champion.

Today, he feels wonderful but some of his scars will likely always remain. We think they are simply one more part of what makes him so special.

Caviar: “I know street life left my skin a little rough around the edges, but my foster mom says I’m the most handsome boy in the world. She says all my scars only make me look more distinguished and manly — which she apparently finds pretty funny, considering I have the sweetest, gentlest personality imaginable.

She also says I’m a little bit like a dog. I’m not exactly sure why that’s funny either. When she calls my name, I come to her. If she invites me onto her lap or into bed, of course I’m coming! I just really love spending time with my human!

I’ve always wanted a human of my own. I guess I just had to go through quite a lot before someone finally noticed me.”

Also worth mentioning: Caviar is a professional biscuit maker, is impressively quick and agile when chasing toys, and curls up into the sweetest little ball when he sleeps. He gets along great with other cats and happily plays and naps with them, but when it comes to human attention, he definitely prefers not to share!

Sweet Caviar is ready to begin the happiest chapter of his life – to be loved in the forever home he deserves, and to give all that love right back.

Adoption fee is $300 and includes the transportation, deworming, vaccinations, FEL/FIV testing, neuter surgery, and microchip. Caviar is being fostered in out of town
