Mowgli (SH) - American Shorthair Cat for Adoption in Schertz, Texas

Mowgli was born in a shelter. This rescue took him and presented him an adoption event and was adopted (2022). His adopter contacted the rescue about 2 months ago. She had lost her home and couldn't take Mowgli with her as the family member she was moving in with was allergic to cats. We asked her to have his shots updated and while at the vet it was discovered one of his eyes was darker than the other. The vet prescribed eye drops. The foster mom continued his care but no marked improvements were noted so she took him to an eye specialist. Upon exam it was discovered that he had a tumor and they recommended immediate removal of the eye. Pathology reviled that the tumor was cancer but encapsulated and all removed,

Mowgli, is a very gentle loving and very affectionate old soul. He is very affectionate and lives for attention from his human. He get along with other cats and would do best in a quiet home with older children. He is a very sweet loving boy. He know no strangers and welcomes all and any love anyone offers.
