Abigail - American Shorthair Cat for Adoption in Jacksonville, Florida

Abigail is a beautiful 3yr old tabico (tortie/tabby mix). If you have ever had the luck to be loved by a tortie or a tabico, then you know how amazing (and a bit quirky lol) they are.

Abigail takes her responsibilities as a personal bodyguard very seriously. She will guard the bathroom door, keep watch around the house, and make sure you are protected while you sleep. At night, she loves sleeping beside you and will occasionally curl up directly on your chest when she is feeling especially affectionate. She always lays against her foster mom's back or legs in bed when she sleeps. And she is the perfect welcome when you get home after a long day at the office. She will greet you at the door and she will ask you about your day with an inquisitive "meow?". She is also great at conversations. Especially when you tell her how pretty she is, when you are giving her food, or when she is receiving especially good pets.

She is not, however, particularly helpful when it comes to making the bed. She thinks fresh sheets are an invitation to play, so making the bed usually takes about four times longer with her assistance! lol And she is an excellent hunter. She is completely captivated by bird and squirrel videos on YouTube. She will patiently watch, stalk, and wait for the perfect moment to pounce and can stay entertained for more than an hour.

Abigail loves relaxing on her enclosed cat patio and enjoying fresh air through an open window where she can watch birds and chirp at all the critters.

She is a loving, playful, funny and incredibly loyal companion and you will be a very lucky human if she chooses you. She really wants all of your attention so she will do best as the only queen in her new castle.

Abigail has been spayed, tested for Felv/Fiv, vaccinated and microchipped
