Hubcap is a silly goose! He was found in the middle of a rural highway. We drove (literally) OVER him and slammed on the brakes, and the little scamp climbed up behind our hubcap. That’s how he got his name!
After lying on the ground under the car, causing a significant traffic jam, and getting help from a random stranger, we got him out and into the carrier I keep in my car for just these occasions.
He settled in quickly at home. After a couple of baths (which he seemed to enjoy!), he was flea-free and graduated from bathroom quarantine to hanging out with the dogs and cats in the house. He has been to the vet, where he was treated for parasites and given a topical flea and tick treatment.
He will be neutered as soon as he hits 2 lbs (which should be any day now!), and then he’ll be ready to move in with his new family. He loves to play with the dogs in the house who are playful, and he respects the animals who don’t want to be bothered by a rambunctious kitten. He does a good job entertaining himself with a tiny tennis ball and loves to bunny-kick stuffed animals.
