DESCRIPTION
Meet Argus, a beautiful, majestic Peacock! He was found as a stray, and when nobody came looking for him he made his way to our rescue. He is now looking for a forever home with other peafowl to befriend. Peafowl need a spacious, contained space to live in for a few months until they are used to their surroundings. Then they can have more free roam space. This is required so that they don't fly off and get lost. They also will need a completely enclosed area to be secured in every night to prevent predator attacks. Each of our peafowl receive a band before adoption.
Are you interested in adopting Argus? Fill out our application today! He is currently located at a foster's home in Kamas UT. If you have questions please feel free to reach out!
The peacock peafowl, known for its vibrant and iridescent plumage, is a strikingly beautiful bird breed indigenous to South Asia and parts of Africa. Males, called peacocks, showcase elaborate and colorful tails during courtship displays to attract peahens, the females of the species. Peafowl are highly social birds that typically forage in groups and roost in trees at night to protect themselves from predators. This breed is renowned for its regal appearance and graceful demeanor, making them a popular sight in various cultures worldwide.
