Hi! My name is Casper, and I am a 9-year-old Pacific Parrotlet. I may be tiny, but don’t let my size fool you! Parrotlets are some of the smallest parrots around, and we can pack a whole lot of personality into a very little package!
I came into rescue eating a seed-based diet, so my foster family is helping me make healthier choices by slowly mixing pellets into my food. I’m still deciding how I feel about that, but there are two things I definitely approve of: scrambled eggs and millet! Those make excellent treats if you ask me.
I can be a little cautious when meeting someone new and need time to decide if you’re trustworthy. My preferred method of getting to know you is pretty funny. First, I’ll hang out on top of your head. Once I decide you’re okay, I’ll graduate to stepping onto your finger!
I’ve been making some wonderful progress in my foster home. I’ve even started trusting my foster grandma enough to give me head scratches. And when I’m really comfortable, you might hear me say “tickle, tickle, tickle” in the tiniest, cutest little bird voice.
I’m looking for a patient forever family who understands that the best relationships aren’t rushed. Give me a little time, a little millet, and a safe place to build trust, and you just might earn yourself one very tiny best friend.
