Dickory - Chicken Bird for Adoption in Salinas, California

Well, hello there! The name's Dickory, and I'm here to find myself a forever home! I arrived at the SPCA with two other roosters named Hickory and Dock, but don't let that fool you - I'm an independent guy and am not bonded to either of them. I'm ready to spread my wings and start the next chapter of my life!

I believe a rooster should carry himself with confidence, keep an eye on his surroundings, and never miss an opportunity to show off those handsome feathers! I've got that classic rooster charm, and I'm ready to bring a little extra personality to someone's flock. After all, every chicken yard deserves a fellow like me!

I am looking for a home with a safe, secure setup with plenty of room to roam, scratch, forage, and do all the important rooster business that keeps a fellow like me busy. An adopter who understands rooster life and can give me the right environment will be just what I need to settle in and shine. Are you that person? Don't keep me waiting!

The SPCA strongly encourages Adoption Holds to ensure I will be waiting to meet you when you arrive. The barn is closed for lunch from 12pm - 1pm.
