Lil Bit is a small, sensitive yorkie with a complicated history who is looking for a very specific, understanding home. She has experienced multiple transitions and is fearful in new environments, especially around loud noises, fast movement, unfamiliar people, and unexpected changes.
Lil Bit needs a slow, patient approach and time to feel safe. She can enjoy gentle petting once she has warmed up but can become uncomfortable and overwhelmed if interactions move too quickly. Treats are a helpful tool for building trust. She is house trained and comfortable going outside.
Due to past struggles with sharing space and attention, Lil Bit should be the only animal in the home and will do best in a quiet, adultsonly household with people who are experienced in reading canine body language and respecting boundaries. A calm home with a yard is strongly preferred over an apartment setting.
Lil Bit is only available through a 2week+ fostertoadopt program, during which adopters will receive support from our behaviorist to help her transition and build confidence.
Lil Bit is not a dog for every home, but for the right person - someone patient, observant, and committed to moving at her pace - she offers the opportunity to provide safety and stability to a dog who truly needs it.
