DESCRIPTION
How can anyone resist this little, sweet face?! George Jetson had a horrible situation happen to him. Someone dumped him out of a car and left him. He ran as fast as his little legs (one mangled) would carry him trying to catch up to the car. He was so confused as to why anyone would do this to him. Thank goodness a good samaritan that witnessed the event took him to our Louisiana rescue partners, and Seventh Heaven stepped in to help. George is estimated to be about 2.5 years old and is believed to be a Yorkie mix. HIs current weight is under 10 pounds. When he was picked up, George was dragging his hind leg which was an old injury calloused from being dragged so long. The vet determined he didn't have any use of his hind leg and decided to amputate the limb to give him a better quality of life. George has recoverd from his sugery, and being a tripod doesn't slow him down. He is probably feeling much better not having to drag a useless limb around! George can be a little bit of a Houdini, as he has climbed over a short kennel and squeezed through a gate, just to get where his humans are. He gets along with most dogs, but cats are a no. George is kennel trained, but is working on consistent house training. He tends to be more of a couch potato so if you are looking for someone to be your best friend and cuddle buddy, George is the man for you! George's adoption fee is $425 which goes towards his neuter, medical care, vaccines, microchip, foster costs and transportation fees. He is currenly in Louisiana, but is ready to come to NY. All he needs is a place to land.
