DESCRIPTION
Meet Angora!
Sometimes, dogs have a way of picking the people they trust.
When Angora was found wandering near the side of the road, a kind stranger stopped to help. Without hesitation, this little 15-pound Yorkie mix hopped right into the car as if she knew she was finally safe. The good Samaritan drove around searching for her family and even shared her online, hoping someone would recognize her. Sadly, no one ever came forward to claim her.
Now, Angora is looking for a new family... one that will be forever this time.
At 5 years old, Angora is a sweet little lady with one feature the shelter staff absolutely adores... her ears! They stand straight up and seem to have a personality all their own. They make us smile every single day.
Angora has been spayed, microchipped, is up to date on all of her vaccines, and is heartworm negative. Since she came to us as a stray, we don't know how she does with other pets or kids, but we're always happy to arrange a meet-and-greet or have adopters utilize our Foster Field Trip Program to make sure she's the perfect fit.
One important thing to know: Angora will need regular grooming every 6-8 weeks to keep her coat healthy, comfortable, and free of mats. It's a commitment, but we think this adorable girl is worth every trip to the groomer!
If you're ready to give Angora the loving home she's been waiting for, apply to adopt today at montgomeryhumane.com.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The Yorkshire Terrier, also known as Yorkie, is a small and glamorous toy dog breed known for its long, flowing coat and spirited personality. Originating from England, these affectionate and intelligent dogs make wonderful companions for individuals and families alike. With a weight of around 7 pounds, Yorkies are portable and adaptable, thriving in both city apartments and rural settings. Despite their small size, they possess a bold and confident nature, always ready for fun and adventure.
