Meet Winston — Small Dog, Big Presence

Winston recently found himself at the shelter as a stray, and like so many others, no one ever came looking for him. How a dog this charming ends up wandering the world alone is a mystery we’ll probably never solve.

What we do know is that Winston is full of character packed into a very small body.

With his scruffy little beard, bright eyes, and confident stance, Winston has the look of a dog who knows exactly what he wants out of life — and isn’t shy about sharing his opinion. He’s alert, curious, and always keeping an eye on what’s happening around him. Nothing escapes Winston’s attention.

He’s the perfect size for someone who wants a companion that can go just about anywhere. Whether it’s lounging on the couch, supervising your daily activities, or exploring the yard like the tiny security officer he believes himself to be, Winston is happiest when he’s near his people.

Like many dogs who have been on their own for a while, Winston is still settling in and figuring out that life doesn’t have to be uncertain anymore. But every day he becomes a little more comfortable, and the sweet little dog underneath that scruffy exterior is starting to shine through.

Winston would do best with someone who appreciates a dog with a bit of personality — the kind who will be your shadow, your watchdog, and your loyal little sidekick all in one.
