Yorkshire Terrier and Wirehaired Terrier Dogs Available for Adoption

This little cutie-patootie made his way from Ashland KY to Minnesota.

Surrendered to a KY shelter, Fuzz was lost and confused. But, angels with their wings tucked in...volunteers and networkers, set out to find Fuzz rescue. He is in dire need of a dental, a must with all dogs, but especially small dogs, therefore, the shelter to which he was surrendered mandated that he be released to a rescue only. That is where we, Almost Home Foster and Rescue of MN came in.

Fuzz is a 7-year-old, 10# Yorkshire Terrier mix. He is still learning house manners, he was kept outdoors...yes, unheard of for these small breeds, but then it takes all kinds, I guess. He is a lover and loves his human's lap. He does well with other dogs. Not sure about cats just yet, but our Randy will put him to the test.

Fuzz has a dental scheduled for Feb 18. He will be eligible for meet and greets following a clean bill of health from our Veterinarian.

Almost Home Foster & Rescue of MN is a 501c3, not-for-profit, foster-based, rescue organization. AHFR is located in SE Minnesota, in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFR is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue.

Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia.

All AHFR adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit.

Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption.

All our dogs are completely vetted, 4DX tested, current on vaccinations, *spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
