Sprouts journey hasnt been easy. He came to us in heartbreaking conditiontrapped in a loud, overcrowded shelter, surrounded by big dogs and noise. He was matted, in pain, terrified, and completely shut down. His teeth were rotten, his coat was a mess, and he showed classic fear-based reactivity. But Sprout wasnt badhe was just overwhelmed and scared. With patience, time, and a lot of gentle care, Sprout is finally beginning to bloom. Hes now neutered, freshly groomed, and has had a much-needed dental. Hes learning to take treats with a soft mouth, go on walks, and accept love at his own pace. He doesnt mind other dogs, but has shown interest in chasing cats, so no cats for this guy. And because hes still working on trust, Sprout will thrive in a quiet, kid-free home with patient adopters who understand that healing takes time. Sprout isnt perfectbut hes trying, every single day. And what he needs most now is someone who sees the gentle, scared soul behind the caution... and is ready to show him what it means to be safe, loved, and finally home.
