Yorkshire Terrier and Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption
FREESIA
Yorkshire Terrier, Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
New York, New York
February 13th
female, small, young
DESCRIPTION
Freesia arrived at Animal Haven just after the new year with her nursing puppies. Heartbreakingly, Freesia is barely beyond puppyhood herself-she's just over a year old.
Her puppies are now old enough to be adopted, which means mama is free of puppy duties! Freesia is a sweet, petite little gal. She's a Yorkshire Terrier mixed with something (possibly a Muppet, based on her unique looks!) Freesia is playful and friendly with new people. She hasn't spent a lot of time around other dogs since she has been busy raising her pups, but we think she'll do well in most homes. Adopt Freesia!
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The Yorkshire Terrier, also known as Yorkie, is a small and glamorous toy dog breed known for its long, flowing coat and spirited personality. Originating from England, these affectionate and intelligent dogs make wonderful companions for individuals and families alike. With a weight of around 7 pounds, Yorkies are portable and adaptable, thriving in both city apartments and rural settings. Despite their small size, they possess a bold and confident nature, always ready for fun and adventure.
